“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better, it’s not”

Meet Elysia
I’m a registered physiotherapist with a specialty in neurological, concussion and vestibular rehabilitation. My number one goal is to help my clients live their best lives, whatever that may look like for them.
Having personally experienced a scary vertigo attack and lengthy rehab, I know how challenging and isolating this process can be. I experienced a lot of fear and anxiety around what my life was going to look like after receiving a chronic vestibular diagnosis before finding the right team.
Unfortunately after a concussion or vestibular diagnosis, a lot of people are given the outdated advice to “wait it out” or simply accept their new normal. Learning first hand how few people knew that there was help out there, or how few providers knew where to direct their patients, sparked a commitment to help other people on their rehab journeys.
My goal in this space is to educate clients, providers and anyone else I can reach on how concussion and vestibular rehabilitation can help. Nobody should be expected to live with daily headaches, vertigo attacks, nausea, imbalance and more — without being given options and access to rehabilitation.

Why EM physio?
I wanted a business name that was meaningful to me and that represented me as a human, rather than a brick and mortar clinic. So, E for Elysia — a name I’ve grown to cherish for the uniqueness of it. And M from my middle name — Margaret — from my grandmother, arguably the most important woman in my life. My Gma has always been the one who believed in me and pushed me to chase my dreams, no matter how big, how wild, or how far they took me from her.
So EM physio — to represent me, and honour her.
I’d love to work together
